SafeGuard Management Center highlights

  • New management API helps organizations to quickly and easily integrate the best-in-class information protection of SafeGuard Enterprise into their existing security infrastructure and automate periodic or cumbersome administrative tasks.
  • Web Helpdesk is a new Web application for helpdesk employees and has the same functions as the Recovery Wizard currently integrated in SafeGuard Enterprise. Access can be regulated via Web authentication methods and gives the helpdesk way of delegating or even outsourcing tasks flexibly with a company without giving full access to the Management Center.
  • The Web Self Help add-on now assists users to help themselves if they have forgotten their SafeGuard Enterprise password, thereby reducing helpdesk burden.
  • License Management can now be done by the SafeGuard Management Center. It tracks the number of installed client licenses of SafeGuard modules. If the license number is exceeded, further deployment of centrally defined security policies is blocked and ensures license compliance.
  • Security officers can be selected and defined from ActiveDirectory user directory.
  • Management console is now multi-session and terminal server capable, enabling simultaneous remote access by several administrators.

SafeGuard Data Exchange highlights

  • SafeGuard PrivateCrypto is bundled with this latest version of SafeGuard Data Exchange, allowing
secure file and e-mail attachment exchange with company user groups without additional pass words.
  • SafeGuard Data Exchange now has a new standalone functionality which means clients can now run independent of the Management Center. This operating mode offers simplified policy creation and has only slightly reduced functionality, making it suitable for small and remote environments. Upgrading to the Management Center version is simple, requiring no renewed rollout of the client software ensuring optimal investment protection. With both central and non-central management options available in SafeGuard Data Exchange, administrators can manage encryption in complex and diverse environments.
  • Windows Explorer users can simply right-click on files to encrypt, or encrypt and burn to CD/DVD with no additional software.
  • SafeGuard Device Encryption now exclusively contains sector-based encryption methods and can be used to exchange removable disks on which SafeGuard Enterprise is installed within a company or between departments.
  • A default key can be defined centrally to make it easier for users to decide which key they should use.

SafeGuard Device Encryption higlights

  • SafeGuard Easy customers can now seamlessly migrate to SafeGuard Enterprise easily without the need to decrypt and re-encrypt their hard drives, via the SafeGuard Device Encryption module. This is available for managed or standalone versions of SafeGuard Enterprise.
