Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Horst Görtz has been in the field of computing for the last 40 years and is a recognized expert in the area of data security.

He was a member of the board of various German and European trade associations. His career in the financial field started in 1983 with BULL.

From 1972, he was the managing director of the Rhein-Main computer center in Frankfurt.

In 1983, he founded the uti-maco Safeware GmbH, a company specialized in the development and sales of data security solutions. In 1993, the company merged with Safeware Ges.m.b.H. in Linz, and become Utimaco Safeware AG with Horst Görtz as the Chairman of the Managing Board.

In 1997, he switched to the Supervisory Board, of which he was elected Chairman. Since 2005 he is Honory Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Utimaco Safeware AG.

Horst Görtz is also a member of other advisory committees and supervisory bodies in the IT industry.
